Welcome to SowJoy!

SowJoy is a mission outpost desiring to be involved with our "neighbors" with the scriptural principle of "Serve Others Willingly by Just Offering Yourself." We pray it to be compelled by love in word and deed to anyone, but particularly those that feel "dissed" thereby opening a door for all to become disciples of Jesus. SowJoy purposes to be a "safe" place where common ground is sought after, seeds of potential are watered and a newness of mind and heart are cultivated with hope and help in the reality of their situation. Jesus cared not only about the spiritual needs of the people but their day to day physical and emotional needs as well. People were changed by what He did and by what He said.

SowJoy's goals are three fold:

  • ~ Redeem: how one thinks of himself and to overcome real life struggles.
  • ~ Restore: to bring real healing that goes beyond situational solutions by offering classes and one on one mentoring to build one's true self in which values and motivations change.
  • ~ Relationship: through grace giving relationships, and the selected core curriculum and, a variety of activities, we pray to be an advocate for those who need one just as much as Jesus is our Advocate.

Our dreams are coming true! One-on-one mentoring, the M n M (Mercy in Ministry), special events and classes have already been initiated and are in practice. We are making every attempt to move where we see God at work with a willingness to adapt as need be. Classes to be offered throughout the year will assist with pregnancy, parenting, relationships, sexual health/choice, purity, Bible studies, and various activities that build one's personal worth. If you have a heart for local missions, in any aspect, let me know! This is an opportunity knocking --- in many aspects ---- for the future of many. . . including YOU!

IMAGINE IF . . . all God's people, called by His name, would humble themselves, turn from wrong doing and seek Him above all else?

IMAGINE IF . . . all God's people would worship Him and serve Him in remembrance of the love, mercy and sacrifice given to us?

IMAGINE IF . . . we looked with compassion upon the people while letting love compel us towards good words and deeds through a unity brought by the Spirit?

My heart floods with emotion just imagining that! Oh how that would delight God enough that He would sure sing over His peoples I believe it --- am persevering toward it --- with anticipation and expectation of what is YET to COME! Will you live beyond yourself for a greater cause even if it is not fully known or understood? I am . . . and I hope to hear that you are too.

Soli Deo Gloria!
